The iPhone app is not a DAW on the phone. It does two jobs that work better away from the desk, so the time at the desk goes to making music.

Hear the track somewhere else

A mix you have heard a hundred times on your monitors stops telling you anything. On the train, in the car or on a phone speaker you hear it fresh. The app plays every saved version of every project, so you can compare where the track stands and leave a comment on what works and what does not. The comments are waiting on the Mac.

Sort the library in dead time

Auditioning and filing samples is necessary, and it is the classic way to avoid finishing a track. The app moves it to the moments you could not make music anyway: swipe through unsorted samples, hear each one, file it into a collection or let it go. The Mac finds the library sorted.

What it does not do

It does not edit projects, record or mix. Everything it shows comes from iCloud, so the Mac has to sync first. Next: iPhone: Projects to install it and listen, or iPhone: Samples to sort.
