Gridshift does not generate music. It lets an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT operate the app for you, the way a studio assistant would.

Words instead of steps

Some jobs are many small steps: group and color twelve tracks, set up ducking on four, rename every track of a drum kit. You say it in one sentence and watch the steps happen in the open project. Each change to the project is one undo step.

It works with your palette

The assistant searches the same library you do. A beat it builds uses your samples, your patterns and your presets, not sounds from somewhere else.

It measures, you listen

It can measure a mix and compare it with reference tracks you picked: loudness, balance, low end. It cannot hear taste. The judgment of what sounds good stays yours.

You stay in charge

Changes to the project undo with ⌘Z. Changes to the library, such as tags and collections, do not undo, and permanent deletes ask you first. It works only while Gridshift is running. Limits are listed in What Assistants Can’t Do. Next: Connect an AI Assistant, then try the example prompts.
