## Good to know

* **A track plays one sound.** One sample or one instrument per track, so a drum kit is several tracks: [How Gridshift Thinks](/get-started/tracks-clips-sources.md).
* **No bundled plugins.** Gridshift hosts the Audio Units installed on your Mac, plus its built-in Sampler.
